Healing Out Loud

Confabulation MTL and Unsinkable present

Healing out loud: stories of not being okay and the road to recovery”

Confabulation MTL is thrilled to partner, once again, with Unsinkable, a Canadian organization using stories to empower mental health journeys.
We’re diving deep into mental health and looking for real experiences from all perspectives:
Those navigating their own mental health
People who support loved ones on their path
Researchers making a difference in the field
Share your story of challenge and triumph, finding balance, and building resilience. Let’s explore this important topic together!

We’re looking for storytellers who want to share a 6-8 minute, autobiographical story exploring this theme. Stories are told without notes, props, or gimmicks.
Whether you’re a seasoned storyteller or a nervous newbie, we offer work-shopping for ALL storytellers, to help shape your piece for the event.
Have an idea brewing?
Send your pitch to < montreal@confabulation.ca > summing up your story idea in a few sentences.
Let’s break down stigma and create a space for open conversation. Your voice matters!

Confabulation MTL would like to acknowledge the historic and ongoing presence of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, the traditional custodians of this land. Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is historically known as a gathering place for people, traditions and stories — and we are fortunate to be here. We hope in the sharing and remembering of histories and stories, we can all do and be better.
