Confabulation presents: Montreal Stories — Our 5-year Anniversary

Break out the birthday cake, and don those points hats. It’s our fifth-birthday! Confabulation is so grateful to all you wonderful people for supporting Montreal’s longest-running monthly true-life storytelling series these many years, and we’re having a party to celebrate. As always, great stories shared by the people that lived them. As every birthday, cake. Made by our host and producer. And any other kind souls who want to kick in too.

For the big 5, we’re having a night of Montreal Stories — stories that could only happen here, that remind us why we love this city, or that just feel like this place. We’re still accepting story submissions!

OH! And as always — we’ll be announcing the next year’s worth of themes at this event. So if you’re an aspiring storyteller, or a returning vet, then you don’t wanna miss this one.

Truth or Dare – November 1, 2014

The leaves change and fall, the landlord plays with the heat, we look outside, sighing.

And, I’m writing accidental haikus. It must be autumn. Let’s turn up the heat a little.

Confabulation, Montreal’s only monthly all-true storytelling series returns. For November, our theme is Truth or Dare — stories of brutal honesty, and the lengths we go to avoid it.

We want the stories of your lies, or those that have been told to you. We want the stories of how hard you’ve worked to keep secrets… Or the stories of where they all came tumbling out. Possibly at a live storytelling show, on stage. We also want the stories of the lengths you’ve gone to to make up for those secrets.

Featuring stories from:
Al Lafrance
Meags Fitzgerald
Joshua Budman
Meredith Lingerfelt
Nina Pariser
and
Gerard Harris

Suggested donation: $8
