Home for the Holidays
Confabulation MTL and QWF Words & Music Show present:
“Home for the Holidays – Stories of crowded rooms, curious customs, and all kinds of travellers”
Confabulation, Montreal’s original true life storytelling series, is delighted to collaborate with the Quebec Writer’s Federation for an edition of The Words and Music Show.
Home for the Holidays will feature the music of Sarah Segal-Lazar and six storytellers will take it home with stories about crowded rooms, curious customs, weary travellers, joy, fatigue, function and dysfunction, excitement and expectations.
We’re looking for storytellers to share a 6-8 minute, autobiographical story exploring this theme. Stories are told without notes, props, or gimmicks — all storytellers are paired with a Confabulation coach who will help to guide you in shaping your story.
If you have a story, send us your pitch at <montreal@confabulation.ca > Your pitch is a summary of your story in a few sentences. DEADLINE – NOVEMBER 1
Saturday December 12, 2026 @ 19h30
Centaur Theatre, 453 Saint Francois Xavier St, Montreal, Quebec H2Y 2T2

Confabulation MTL would like to acknowledge the historic and ongoing presence of the Kanien’kehá:ka Nation, the traditional custodians of this land. Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is historically known as a gathering place for people, traditions and stories — and we are fortunate to be here. We hope in the sharing and remembering of histories and stories, we can all do and be better.
