Always be prepared—but for what?

This month, we’re tackling the theme: Be Prepared: stories of following orders, breaking ranks, or forging your own path.

Come hear true stories from six local storytellers, and hang out with your co-hosts Carol-Lynne Michaels and Cassandra Togneri. See you Thursday, Nov. 21st at the Victoria Event Centre!

Your fabulous STORYTELLERS for this month’s show are (in no particular order):

  • Kara Anderson
  • Andrew Mager
  • Nick Lyons
  • Samantha Watkins
  • Faye Mogensen
  • Erich Kelch

Have a story to share at a future show? Submit your story ideas at All our storytellers receive speaker and story coaching.

What is “Confabulation”?
Honest accounts told by the people that lived them—without notes, props or gimmicks. Stories, true as we can tell them.

Storytellers wanted for future shows!
-> Submit your story at and we’ll get in touch. We encourage all people to share their stories—we’re here to listen.

Confabulation is an all-true storytelling series that takes place monthly in Montreal and Victoria!
We’re on Instagram too: @CONFABSTORIES
We gratefully acknowledge that the territory on which this event takes place is the traditional and unceded land of the Lekwungen speaking peoples, also known as the Esquimalt and Songhees Nations.

Confabulation Victoria is donating $100 from each show of this Season Four to PEPÁḴEṈ HÁUTW̱: The Blossoming Place – learn more about the work they do:
There are three multi-user, gender-inclusive bathrooms with stalls. One bathroom has a larger stall with its own sink and a grab bar.

The Victoria Event Centre does not currently have an operational elevator. The only way into the VEC is up 27 wood stairs, 11″ deep, 6″ high. There are wooden 2.5” handrails 38” up the wall on each side of the staircase (54” apart, so not graspable on both sides at once). If you require assistance with accessing the space, please contact the VEC staff at [email protected] and they will do their best to accommodate.
